Korean Air increases flights to summer resorts in China

BEIJING, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Korean Air is gearing up for another summer busy season by resuming suspended flights and operating flights to popular Chinese summer resort destinations, it told Xinhua on Friday.
Flights would resume twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays from April 25 to October bound for Tunxi city in eastern Anhui Province, in a move to facilitate travelers visiting the Huangshan Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990 for its exceptional natural beauty and rare species.
A flight will also operate between Seoul and Mudanjiang city, in northeastern Heilongjiang Province every Saturday starting in May.
The airline will also resume flights to Urumqi, the capital city of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, which had been suspended during the winter season. Resumed flights will connect Urumqi and Incheon Airport three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays from April to October 25.
Korean Air, with a fleet of 126 aircraft, is one of the world's top 20 airlines, and operates almost 400 passenger flights per day to 115 cities in 37 countries and regions.
